We are delighted to announce that our new industry sustainability initiative – The Generator Project – is scheduled to launch later this month.
The Generator Project is a not-for-profit collaboration between OnBio Ltd, Sustainable Film and ourselves, and aims to bring together industry-wide individuals and companies to shape and speed up the media industry’s take-up of cleaner, greener power generation. The aim is to encourage more availability of Stage V generators, promote emerging Battery Technology, Green HVO, Hydrogen & LPG fuels.
Residents living in popular filming locations regularly complain about fumes given off by film company generators. Through our work with productions and suppliers we have become increasingly aware of the appetite within the industry for practical solutions to make film sets greener.
The Generator Project is gathering information about generators via the London Borough Film Office permit application process. Also, location teams and other crew members can use an iPhone or Android App to gather real-time data on generator use in urban areas.
The Generator Project will be showcasing the positive and creative ways productions and crew are already using less polluting and sustainable generators.
When is the launch event?
